Marble Sink Installation Guide
Page content
Before installation, have a qualified installer review your exact sink, dimensions, weight, wall or cabinet construction, and plumbing layout. These planning notes do not replace product-specific installation instructions or structural assessment.
Wall-mounted marble sinks
- Confirm the finished sink dimensions, actual weight, drain location, faucet position, and any separate backsplash.
- Have the installer determine suitable structural backing and supports for the total installed load. Tile, drywall, adhesive, and plumbing connections are not structural supports.
- Install the specified support system into suitable structure before positioning the stone. Use lifting equipment and enough trained people to move it safely.
- Dry-fit and level the sink on its supports. Use only stone-compatible setting and sealing products specified for the installation.
- Connect plumbing without forcing fittings against the stone. Check drainage, leaks, stability, and all connections before use.
Sinks with wood vanities
- Confirm the cabinet can support the actual stone weight. Cabinet appearance alone does not establish load capacity.
- Level and secure the cabinet according to its installation instructions. Check clearances for doors, drawers, plumbing, and faucets.
- Provide the support and bearing surfaces specified for the stone top. Do not suspend the top across unsupported spans.
- Dry-fit the stone and backsplash, then use compatible products as directed by the installer and manufacturer. Keep wood protected from standing water.
- Connect plumbing, allow specified curing time, and check for leaks and movement.
Sinks with console legs
- Confirm the supplied frame, fittings, and stone match the ordered configuration. Assemble the frame following its instructions.
- Have the installer verify load capacity, floor condition, leveling, and any required wall restraints or anchoring.
- Place the stone on its intended support points using appropriate lifting equipment. A separate shelf or backsplash may require its own support.
- Secure components using the specified compatible materials. Do not assume the faucet, drain, or a freestanding decorative leg provides structural restraint.
- Check the completed assembly for stability, proper drainage, leaks, and safe use.
Before your installer arrives
Confirm what is included in your order. Brackets, mounting hardware, faucets, drains, plumbing fittings, and installation are included only where your product listing or order explicitly states so. Share the approved dimensions and faucet specifications with your installer before fabrication.
